PROCESS ATP Private Equity Partners seeks to diversify its portfolio over geography, management styles and industry perspectives. ATP PEP invests in buyout funds, venture funds, secondary interests in funds, distressed related funds and co-investments in Europe and North America. We also survey emerging markets such as Asia, Eastern Europe, Australia and South America for private equity opportunities. ATP PEP wishes to be a significant investor in most funds and to the extent possible, play an active role on the advisory boards. ATP PEP is providing a long term source of capital and adding value through its wide network of contacts in Scandinavia, Europe, North America and emerging markets. ATP PEP always conducts its own due diligence.
SEGMENTS In buyouts, ATP PEP invests in funds with a focus on growing or mature companies where the private owner can add value to companies. Clear value adding capabilities are key for ATP PEP. ATP PEP focuses particularly on funds with a style or sector expertise, often in the mid-market segment in North America; as for Europe, the approach is much broader. In both regions, ATP PEP seeks General Partners with strong experience, history and performance. For the venture capital segment, ATP PEP is looking for partnerships with a proven ability to create new companies and make them grow to profitability. The key theme is value creation through investing in technologies with a competitive edge and forming the right management teams.
In North America, as well as in Europe, ATP PEP focuses on venture capital funds with technical expertise, performance and history.
